2017 – Our year in review
At Ikon Photography we’re always looking forward, but at the start of a New Year, it’s sometimes good to look back and see how far we’ve come. For us, 2017 was quite a journey and we’ve had a lot of fun putting together some stat’s to represent a year in review.
A snapshot of the outgoing year
As commercial photographers, you’d expect we’d have captured quite a few images over the course of a year and even limiting the count to pictures taken in the Raw format, we were surprised to find out exactly how many!
Building on our success
We always go the extra mile for our clients and one of the services we offer is the design and construction of sets right here in our studio to ensure the setting for a photoshoot is absolutely perfect. We’ve not only added up how many sets we’ve built, but how many screws went into their construction and how many litres of paint we used to complete the jobs.
Bringing in the best people
As well as our own dedicated team, we also engage the services of numerous freelancers to help with our larger jobs and of course many models to add a human touch to our product photography, fashion photography and other work. We’ve added up just how many!
Ikon’s favourite refreshments
All this activity is thirsty work, but we didn’t know just how thirsty until we looked at the quantities of hot beverages imbibed at work and cold ones enjoyed afterwards! Being good corporate citizens
We strive to be the best at what we do and also try to give a little back. We’re keen to reduce our carbon footprint and have converted some of our ongoing contracts to green alternatives. We’ve also been proud to support a number of charities, most recently the very worthy charity responsible for championing the interests the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless; Shelter.
What will be in our 2018 Year in Review?
The photography industry is fast paced and forever mutable, we’re looking forward to a New Year with exciting new projects, clients who challenge us to push the boundaries of what’s possible and embracing the latest developments in image capturing technology to enable us to keep our edge sharp.
